Eco Golf Cartin’ to Honeymoon Beach

Visiting world-class Honeymoon Beach is one of the top ways to pass a glorious day away while on St. John. At the beach, you can simply relax on a lounge chair under an umbrella on the pillowy white sand, or you can rent a kayak, SUP, or snorkel gear from us to explore the crystal clear waters and say hello to the turtles below the surface. And when you get hungry, food and tropical drinks are available mere steps from the shoreline at our beach bar, Bikinis on the Beach.

But we understand that getting to Honeymoon can be a bit of a trek. Hiking there is a sweaty endeavor – either a mile from the Visitor’s Center in town, or a steep climb from Lind Point. So we’ve come up with a far simpler – and much more fun – solution.

The owners of Caneel Bay have graciously permitted us exclusive access to transport visitors to Honeymoon Beach through their private property. To do so, we’ve added a snazzy new solar-powered, electric golf cart to our fleet (keepin’ it eco, of course!). It seats seven people at a time and comes complete with your own beach chauffeur.

The golf cart rides are $10 per person roundtrip and are available daily from 9am – 6pm. If you’re arriving to Caneel Bay in your own rental car, parking is free for Honeymoon Beach guests.

Prefer to hike in and take a golf cart ride out? One way rides are available for $5 per person.

Coming from St. Thomas? You can book your day’s transportation with us directly – we have a special deal that includes roundtrip taxi service to and from the ferry dock to the Caneel Bay parking lot, then your roundtrip golf cart ride to and from Honeymoon Beach.

Insider tip: If you’re planning to stay on the beach for the full day, we recommend that you reserve your ride time off the beach as soon as you arrive, as rides tend to fill up as the day comes to a close.
