Our guide Slim was amazing. He pointed out unique creatures among the mangroves and the evening glow made the experience magical. We even saw a nurse shark during the trip!

Our guide Anslem (Slem) did a great job prepping expectations, getting us in the kayaks, and telling us about the mangrove ecosystem. It was peaceful and serene. It was just enough for a water experience without risk as it was standing depth most of the way and in a protected lagoon.
Anslem made our sunset kayaking an adventure! He told us history about the area, showed us species local to the ecosystem, and entertained us with a pirate story and many jokes.
We thoroughly enjoyed our kayak tour. The guides were informed, safe, and funny! 'Swish' and 'Slim' made the experience so enjoyable and combined their knowledge with their comedy, which kept us smiling the whole way through!
What will we see on the tour?
On our St. Thomas Mangrove Lagoon tours, you will kayak among the many small islands of the unique Inner Mangrove Lagoon. You may see a variety of birds such as brown pelicans, blue herons, night herons, egrets, yellow warblers and hummingbirds.
I can’t swim. Can I still do your tour?
Yes! All guests wear life jackets, so you’re guaranteed to float.
I’ve never been kayaking before, can I still go?
Yes! We offer full kayaking instruction before the tour begins. It’s perfect for children, adults, and seniors. Beginners are welcomed!
Can my toddlers go on your tours?
Absolutely! As long as they weigh a minimum of 30 pounds, we can provide them with life jackets. If your child weighs less than that, you will have to bring a suitably sized life jacket for your child to wear.
Where does the Full Moon Kayak Tour take place?
The tour begins at our launch site near the Mangrove Lagoon on the east end of St. Thomas. From there, you’ll paddle through calm coastal waters to explore the natural beauty of Cas Cay as the moon rises over the Virgin Islands.

What should I bring for the Cas Cay Full Moon Kayak Tour?
Wear clothing that can get wet, and bring a hat and sunglasses for sun protection before sunset. Water shoes or sandals with a strap around the heel are ideal for safely walking in and out of the kayak launch area. A light, waterproof jacket can be helpful if the evening breeze picks up.
Are there restrooms or changing areas at the Mangrove Lagoon in St. Thomas?
Yes. Before or after your Cas Cay kayak tour, you’ll have access to restrooms, dressing rooms, and lockers at our launch site near the Mangrove Lagoon in St. Thomas. These facilities are available to help make your experience easy and comfortable.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your booking is fully refundable if canceled at least 24 hours before your tour.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour start time or no-shows are non-refundable.
Tours operate rain or shine (with the exception of lightning). In the rare case that weather prevents us from running the tour, we will gladly provide a full refund.
Do you offer private tours?
Yes! You can now upgrade any eligible tour to a private experience for just a $99 flat fee. This “Private Tour Upgrade” can be selected during online checkout—just look for the Flat Fee – Private Tour Upgrade option when booking your tour. Private tours are available any day except Wednesdays.
