First of all, our tour guides Jvante and Donovan were awesome! They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with us as beginners. The water was calm and not too deep. Wearing my life jacket, I felt no anxiety and enjoyed seeing so much marine life.
This was a fantastic experience! It is always tricky to find a great outdoor adventure with three young boys, but this was amazing! My younger boys played and explored while the older ones snorkeled. Highly recommend
Our guides, Elvin and Slim, were so knowledgeable about mangroves, sea life, and the history of Cas Cay. They kept an eye out for unusual sea creatures, ensuring everyone got a chance to experience them.
The kayaking wasn’t too physically demanding, and the hike was even easier. Even though it rained, we still saw sharks and barracudas while snorkeling. We never felt unsafe on our 3-hour trip.
This was our best experience in St. Thomas! The calm mangrove waters made paddling easy, and snorkeling was a great first-time experience for our 12-year-old son.
Had an amazing time! The views were great, the staff was friendly, and it was worth every penny.
The highlight of the tour was snorkeling and getting to hold starfish, conches, and urchins while seeing barracudas and even a reef shark. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
What will we see on the tour?
On our St. Thomas Mangrove Lagoon tours, you will kayak among the many small islands of the unique Inner Mangrove Lagoon. You may see a variety of birds such as brown pelicans, blue herons, night herons, egrets, yellow warblers and hummingbirds. While snorkeling you may see spotted eagle rays, turtles, pufferfish, octopus, lobster, stingrays, parrotfish and much more!
I can’t swim. Can I still do your tour?
Yes! All guests wear life jackets, so you’re guaranteed to float. Relax, kick gently, and you’ll see lots of sea life during the snorkel portion of your tour.
Can my toddlers go on your tours?
Absolutely! As long as they weigh a minimum of 30 pounds, we can provide them with life jackets. If your child weighs less than that, you will have to bring a suitably sized life jacket for your child to wear.
I’m not an experienced snorkeler, can I still go?
Yes! We offer full snorkeling instruction. We also require that every person on the tour wear a life jacket during the kayaking and snorkeling portions of the tour.
I’ve never been kayaking before, can I still go?
Yes! We offer full kayaking instruction before the tour begins. It’s perfect for children, adults, and seniors. Beginners are welcomed!
What equipment is included in the Cas Cay Kayak, Hike & Snorkel tour?
This guided St. Thomas adventure includes everything you need for kayaking and snorkeling. You’ll receive a stable sit-on-top ocean kayak with a paddle and backrest, a snorkel and mask, and a life jacket. Bottled water is provided along with a full safety briefing and expert instruction. Whether you're a first-timer or an experienced paddler, our guides ensure you feel confident on the water.
What should I bring for the Cas Cay Kayak, Hike & Snorkel Adventure in St. Thomas?
For your Cas Cay eco tour in St. Thomas, bring a swimsuit, towel, and lightweight clothing that can get wet. A hat, polarized sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen are recommended for sun protection. Footwear that can get wet is important. Water shoes or sandals with a strap around the heel are best for hiking, kayaking, and exploring Cas Cay’s natural terrain.
Are there restrooms and changing areas available at Cas Cay?
Yes. Before or after your Cas Cay kayak and snorkel adventure, you’ll have access to restrooms, dressing rooms, and lockers at our launch site near the Mangrove Lagoon in St. Thomas. These facilities are available to help make your experience easy and comfortable.
Do you use fins during the Cas Cay snorkeling tour?
No. To protect the delicate marine life and coral in the mangrove lagoon, we do not provide or use fins. Our guides will teach you how to snorkel comfortably without fins while still enjoying amazing views of tropical fish and sea life in this unique St. Thomas ecosystem.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your booking is fully refundable if canceled at least 24 hours before your tour.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour start time or no-shows are non-refundable.
Tours operate rain or shine (with the exception of lightning). In the rare case that weather prevents us from running the tour, we will gladly provide a full refund.
Do you offer private tours?
Yes! You can now upgrade any eligible tour to a private experience for just a $99 flat fee. This “Private Tour Upgrade” can be selected during online checkout—just look for the Flat Fee – Private Tour Upgrade option when booking your tour. Private tours are available any day except Wednesdays.
