Kevin Marc and Slim were so friendly and educational. Taught us a lot about the ecosystem and the area. Highlights include beautiful paddling through the mangroves and hermit crab racing. Best part was when Slim took us way out to snorkel on the reef!
Pat did an excellent job telling us all about the local wildlife and how important it is to preserve it!! We had a great time with him.
Our guides, Elvin and Slim, were so knowledgeable about mangroves, sea life, and the history of Cas Cay. They kept an eye out for unusual sea creatures, ensuring everyone got a chance to experience them.
This was our best experience in St. Thomas! The calm mangrove waters made paddling easy, and snorkeling was a great first-time experience for our 12-year-old son.

Kyrell was an awesome guide for our party of three athletic ladies in their sixties. He guided us through the mangroves and to the beach while pointing out the wildlife and background of the grove. Highly recommend this tour if you want personal attention.
What will we see on the tour?
On our St. Thomas Mangrove Lagoon tours, you will kayak among the many small islands of the unique Inner Mangrove Lagoon. You may see a variety of birds such as brown pelicans, blue herons, night herons, egrets, yellow warblers and hummingbirds. While snorkeling you may see spotted eagle rays, turtles, pufferfish, octopus, lobster, stingrays, parrotfish and much more!
Where does the Cas Cay SUP and Snorkel Tour take place?
This guided paddleboarding and snorkeling tour takes place at Cas Cay near the Mangrove Lagoon on the east end of St. Thomas. The location is known for calm waters, beautiful scenery, and an abundance of marine life, making it perfect for a beginner-friendly eco adventure.
I’m not an experienced snorkeler, can I still go?
Yes! We offer full snorkeling instruction. We also require that every person on the tour wear a life jacket during tour.
What’s included in the Cas Cay stand-up paddleboard and snorkel tour?
This Cas Cay SUP tour includes a paddleboard with paddle, a snorkel and mask, life jackets, and bottled water. You'll also receive a full safety briefing and instruction on both stand-up paddling and snorkeling to help you feel confident on the water.
What should I bring for the Cas Cay SUP and Snorkel Tour in St. Thomas?
Wear a bathing suit and bring a towel, along with lightweight clothing that can get wet. A hat, sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen are recommended for sun protection during your paddleboarding adventure. Footwear that can get wet, such as water shoes or sandals with a heel strap, is ideal for comfort and safety.
Are there restrooms or changing areas at the Mangrove Lagoon in St. Thomas?
Yes. Before or after your Cas Cay kayak tour, you’ll have access to restrooms, dressing rooms, and lockers at our launch site near the Mangrove Lagoon in St. Thomas. These facilities are available to help make your experience easy and comfortable.
Are fins used during the snorkeling portion of the SUP tour?
No. To protect the delicate mangrove lagoon ecosystem, we do not use or provide fins. Our guides will teach you how to snorkel safely and comfortably without fins while exploring the underwater environment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your booking is fully refundable if canceled at least 24 hours before your tour.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour start time or no-shows are non-refundable.
Tours operate rain or shine (with the exception of lightning). In the rare case that weather prevents us from running the tour, we will gladly provide a full refund.
Do you offer private tours?
Yes! You can now upgrade any eligible tour to a private experience for just a $99 flat fee. This “Private Tour Upgrade” can be selected during online checkout—just look for the Flat Fee – Private Tour Upgrade option when booking your tour. Private tours are available any day except Wednesdays.
