Night kayaking was an absolute blast! Paddling under the stars was magical, and we were lucky enough to spot some awesome fish along the way.
We started at dusk with our guide, Slim. We were the only tourists. The highlight was a surprise viewing of a Space X launch while we were stopped listening to pirate stories and looking at the stars. Highly recommend—even for beginning kayakers.
Our guide, Slim, was so patient and attentive. Even though it was my kids’ first time kayaking, he made sure they felt safe and comfortable the whole time. The pirate stories and bioluminescent sights kept everyone entertained!
Beautiful kayaking excursion led by Anselm. When our kids struggled with kayaking, Anselm was patient and kind in teaching them, calming, and efficient at getting them tethered to our kayak for safety reasons. Even our blasé teens were mesmerized by the experience.
Slim was a great guide and made the night time adventure safe and informative. He taught us a lot about the mangroves and various wildlife.
We did the night kayak tour and had a wonderful time. Our guide, Slim, was great! He was friendly, helpful, informative with his knowledge of the ecosystem, plus he had plenty of corny jokes, and even a couple of pirate stories to keep things light, fun, and informative all at the same time.
What will we see on the tour?
On our St. Thomas Mangrove Lagoon tours, you will kayak among the many small islands of the unique Inner Mangrove Lagoon. You may see a variety of birds such as brown pelicans, blue herons, night herons, egrets, yellow warblers and hummingbirds.
What is included in the Cas Cay Sunset Kayaking Tour?
This guided sunset adventure in St. Thomas includes a stable sit-on-top ocean kayak with a backrest and paddle, life jackets, bottled water, and a full safety briefing. Our experienced guides also provide kayaking instruction to ensure a safe and relaxing paddle, even if it’s your first time.
What should I bring for the Cas Cay Sunset Kayak Tour in St. Thomas?
For your sunset kayak tour at Cas Cay, bring a waterproof camera or waterproof binoculars to capture the glowing horizon and coastal wildlife. Wear lightweight clothing that can get wet, along with a hat, sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen for sun protection. Water shoes or sandals with a strap around the heel are best for entering and exiting your kayak comfortably.
I’ve never been kayaking before, can I still go?
Yes! We offer full kayaking instruction before the tour begins. It’s perfect for children, adults, and seniors. Beginners are welcomed!
Can my toddlers go on your tours?
Absolutely! As long as they weigh a minimum of 30 pounds, we can provide them with life jackets. If your child weighs less than that, you will have to bring a suitably sized life jacket for your child to wear.
Are there restrooms or changing areas at the Mangrove Lagoon in St. Thomas?
Yes. Before or after your Cas Cay kayak tour, you’ll have access to restrooms, dressing rooms, and lockers at our launch site near the Mangrove Lagoon in St. Thomas. These facilities are available to help make your experience easy and comfortable.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your booking is fully refundable if canceled at least 24 hours before your tour.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour start time or no-shows are non-refundable.
Tours operate rain or shine (with the exception of lightning). In the rare case that weather prevents us from running the tour, we will gladly provide a full refund.
Do you offer private tours?
Yes! You can now upgrade any eligible tour to a private experience for just a $99 flat fee. This “Private Tour Upgrade” can be selected during online checkout—just look for the Flat Fee – Private Tour Upgrade option when booking your tour. Private tours are available any day except Wednesdays.
