HOW TO MAKE A VIRGIN ISLANDS PAINKILLER COCKTAIL

a young girl in a pool of water

If the Virgin Islands had a signature flavor, it might very well be that of our famous (infamous?) Painkiller cocktail.

Nothing helps you get on island time faster than a sip of this tropical drink. Coconut, pineapple, and rum combine to soothe your island soul and suddenly you’re relaxed and swinging in a hammock under the palm trees, even if it’s only in your mind.

For those of you who can’t be with us right now, we wanted to give you a taste of the tropics to enjoy at home until we can be serving you up one at Bikinis on the Beach again.

One of our favorite travel bloggers, RumShopRyan of Caribbean Castaways, recently visited us on Honeymoon Beach and made a Painkiller with our bartender, D.

Here’s the full recipe for you:

– 2oz rum
– 4oz pineapple juice
– 2oz orange juice
– 2oz Coco Lopez
– Shake with ice
– Top with nutmeg

It goes without saying that these Caribbean cocktails taste best when you’re soaking up these St. John views. If you’d like to bring some sunshine into your home until you can be back on Honeymoon Beach, our signature silicone eco cups – complete with Painkiller recipe – are available in our online shop!

We hope you enjoy this Painkiller cocktail and think of us – we cannot wait to be serving them to you again soon! Cheers!
