The upcoming 2024/25 season in the Virgin Islands will be kicking off in just a couple of months. Most of our visitors tend to come starting in November and we can’t wait to welcome you back. As you begin planning your next island escape, here is the current must-see + must-do list for the Virgin Islands.

This is a truly unique way to experience St. Thomas at night. You’ll meet in the Mangrove Lagoon and we’ll provide the kayaks and headlamps. Your guide will lead you through the waterways of the lagoon and help you spot all of the thriving flora and fauna. You’ll be surprised by how much activity goes on in the dark! It’s also such a serene, lovely time to be on the water. Bonus: This tour is extra amazing if you happen to be here during the full moon!

This past season, everyone’s favorite floating pizzeria added a new amenity – floating “tables!” These are similar to what you may have seen at LimeOut VI. There’s really no better way to eat pizza than over the sparkling Caribbean sea with your feet in the water and the sun shining above you. We can get you there! You can book a private day charter boat directly on our website. Both sailing and powerboat options are available.

We now have sea turtle snorkel tours available on both St. Thomas AND St. John. No matter which island you’re staying on, you can spend some quality time with the sweetest, most peaceful creatures of the VI. Your guide will show you their favorite hangouts, fellow marine creatures like stingrays and octopus, and share details about our underwater world.

Rent a dinghy or Zodiac for the day and explore the hidden coves, cays, and beaches of St. John. Pack a picnic and enjoy a lunch in your own private spot – even more delicious after a snorkel.

Maho Bay on St. John is the perfect beach to arrive in the morning and stay put until sundown. Our beach day amenity pack gives you chairs, an umbrella for cover, and noodles so you can relax on the beach and chill in the shallows. We also have water sports gear available to rent if you want to snorkel with the sea turtles in the bay.

One of the ultimate VI snorkel spots is The Indians off Norman Island in the BVI. You can see these scraggly rocks jutting out of the sea from St. John and charter a boat for the day to go visit them. Gorgeous reef extends below the surface and tons of marine life gather here. There’s so much to see as a snorkeler and it’s an experience you will want to repeat again and again.

Have you done any of the above yet? Is there anything we missed? Tell us what’s on your bucket list and when you’re arriving!

The north shore of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands is one of those rare places that manages to feel both untouched and well-known. Stretching along the island’s Caribbean-facing coastline, this region is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world—and it’s easy to see why. You can’t visit St. John without spending time on it. In fact, it’s probably the most popular reason why people visit St. John. ( Who among us hasn’t been lured into STJ dreaming by one of those iconic photos of Trunk Bay? ) However, there is so much to see and experience along the north shore. You likely will not be able to do it all on your first trip here. Here’s what to know about the north shore of St. John:

If you’ve been to St. John in the US Virgin Islands, you’ve likely encountered the wild donkeys around the island. Whether they approached you on the beach, strolled up to your Jeep’s window, or clip-clopped alongside you while shopping in Mongoose Junction, you were likely charmed by the presence of such a surprising farm animal on our little island. Because we’ve been posting a bunch of fun donkey videos lately over on our Facebook and Instagram accounts (if you’re not already following us, be sure to go and join in on the fun!), we thought we’d share a few fun details about the island’s donkey population.

The US Virgin Islands are a great place for both beginner and experienced snorkelers. The waters tend to be calm, clear, and warm year round, and there are many places where you can see an abundance of reef and marine life in relatively shallow waters. We love helping visitors experience the magic of the underwater world, and we have guided snorkeling tours and snorkel gear rentals available on all three islands: St. Thomas , St. John , and St. Croix . In order to best appreciate our waters and have a wonderful time while you’re “under the sea,” here are a few USVI snorkeling safety tips to keep in mind:

Here’s a hot take I have for the US Virgin Islands: Everyone should take a guided snorkel tour at least a couple of times, no matter how many times they’ve been snorkeling here before. I know, I know… you’ve already snorkeled here. Why would going with a guide change anything when you already know how to snorkel? Why do you need someone to accompany you when you already have a fish identification card and rented snorkel gear so you can go by yourself?
